Cocktail Dinner With Bully Boy Boston Distillery

Bully Boy Distillery has patiently been waiting for over 5 years to release their flagship Wheated Bourbon, and Shipwrights Daughter and Spencer & Lynn could not be more excited to partner with them for our first ever cocktail dinner.

Made by hand in Boston, every step of the process has been meticulously crafted, right down to the selection of corn, grain, water, yeast, cuts, and barrel selection and even the aging environment by head distiller, Dave Willis.  When asked about his process and use of malted grains in his mash bills, Willis says, “While more expensive and trickier to use, they have more flavor and complexity”. Learn trade secrets like this and more by clicking the link and reserving your ticket!

Shipwrights Daughter and Spencer & Lynn are pulling out all the stops and offering cocktail demos, ready to drink cocktails to go, and complementary distillery tours and tastings at the Bully Boy Distillery in Boston. We’ll see you for our slightly different take on St. Patrick’s Day this year.

Your Ticket Includes

  • Includes 3-course dinner crafted by James Beard Best Chef NE Nominee David Standridge

  • Cocktail Demos

  • Whiskey Education from Bully Boy

  • 1 Ready to drink cocktail using their newly released Flagship Whiskey made by the craft bartenders at The Shipwright’s Daughter

Garden Party: Wine Education

There is nothing better in New England than spending time outdoors during the summer. Put us in a garden and we are even more happy, but add on wine and we will be there for a while. Our neighbors have been rehabbing a historic Inn so while checking on their progress we noticed they have a great garden space .. and clearly an idea was born. Eileen of Mystic is located on Cow Hill Road and the fantastic Josh & Erin are going room by room with the remodel. For our Garden Party we will be outdoors while also having access to the Inn itself to check in on their work. Our theme will be the Mediterranean as we bounce between many of the coastal wine communities that make up southern Europe. We will also be feeding you some Mediterranean inspired snacks as you enjoy wine in the garden. We are excited to welcome you into this new space and different type of tasting experience. Space is limited!

Summer on Main Street

This year has been full of projects and events so far, but we never intended to take such an extended break from our friends down at The Essex. We return this summer on July 19th to open a new dinner series down in Old Saybrook. Our wine inspiration will flow with the menu but will fall in line with dinner on a Mediterranean beach (Because after all, is that not what the CT shoreline in the summer is all about). Stay tuned for a menu release, as we are excited to get back to these incredibly unique pairing events.
